MSN Instant Messenger Restrictions (All Windows)

These restrictions are used to disable various features of the Microsoft MSN Instant Messenger client.

Open your registry and find the key below.

For each restriction from the list below create a new DWORD value and set the value to "1" to enable the restriction.

  • DisableCollaborationApps
  • DisableFileTransfer
  • DisablePC2PCAudio
  • DisablePC2Phone
  • DisableVideo
  • PreventAutoUpdate
  • PreventBackgroundDownload
  • PreventConsumerVersion
Restart MSN Messenger for the changes to take effect.

Value: (1 = enable restriction, 0 = default)
